Funeral services for Lillian M. (Hansen) Casey will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. Rev. Russell Saltzman will conduct the service, with organist Clare Cowing and vocalist Homer Nielsen providing hymns. Burial will follow at the Kennard Cemetery.

Lillian was born March 11, 1897 in Kennard, and she died Monday, Sept. 10, at the Blair Hospital. She resided at Parkside Apartments in Blair. She was 87.

Lillian attended March School, married Ray Casey in 1916 in Blair, and lived in Kennard until moving to Fremont in 1938. The family moved to Gregory, South Dakota in 1942. Ray Casey died April 30, 1971, and Lillian moved to Blair in 1974. She was preceded in death by her parents C.B. and Christina (Jensen) Hansen, husband Ray and three sisters.

Survivors include her son Russell Casey of Cleveland, Oklahoma; daughters Mrs. Harry (Phylis) Hancock of Blair, Mrs. Robert (Mary) O’Neil of Gregory, S.D., Mrs. Ray (Lilara) Landis of Columbus, Nebr. and Mrs. Charles (Clara) Fritter of Sparks, Nevada; brothers Bert Hansen of Blair and Orvin Hansen of Denver, Colorado; sister Mrs. Edna Watson of Omaha; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Shawn Casey, Norman Haffield, Greg Hancock, Vick Albracht, Mark Meierhenry, Thomas Glover, Gregg Lundberg, Michael Landis, Timothy Landis, Richard Landis, Jerry Ellis, Roy Nichol, Daniel Landis and Nathan Collins.
