Lloyd C. Casey of Herman passed away at Bishop Clarkson Hospital Tuesday, Jan. 22, after a brief illness. He was 61. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan 25, at the Herman Legion Hall. Rev. Larry Orvis will officiate. Burial will follow at the Herman Cemetery.

Lloyd was born June 9, 1923 to Michael and Helen (Anderegg) Casey in Kensington, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion of Herman, and of the Boilermaker Union Local 83 of Kansas City, Missouri.

He attended school in Kansas City, Kansas, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Kansas, City, Missouri. Fishing was his favorite hobby.

He is survived by his wife Pearl of Herman, mother Helen of Kansas City, Kansas, four sons and daughters-in law, and one daughter who he loved very much; John Michael and Marsha Casey of Hume, Missouri, Robert DeLyle and Mary Casey of Pleasanton Kansas, Christopher Wayne of Paramount, California, Patricia and Terry Peterman of Rich Hill, Missouri, Gene and Emyle McWilliams of Blair and Nancy Colgan of Herman; six grandchildren, Carla, Craig, Carrin and Jason Casey and Kathleen and Calvin McWilliams; two sister, Lois Reagles of Kansas City, Kansas and Lola Bonner of Mountain Rest, South Carolina; and many other relatives and close friends.

Casketbeareres are George Green, Mike Green, Brady Green, Denny Colgan, Terry Hovendick and Bobby Frye.

Honorary pallbearers are Floyd Sheets, Paul Grey, Frank Korshoj, Earl Hoier, Darrell Crom, and Jack Cramer.
