Diane Lee McGee, 55

Diane Lee Ellingson McGee, 55, of Holyoke, Colo., died at home on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002. A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Roberts-Baucke Funeral Chapel in Holyoke with the Rev. Jim Mort officiating.

Diane Lee Ellingson McGee was born May 2, 1946, in Lynch, Neb., to John Lee and Enid E. (Barington) Ellingson. They lived at Niobrara and then moved to Blair, where she attended school.

On Dec. 20, 1971, she married Lynn E. McGee. The couple moved to Holyoke, where she worked for many years. She loved to read and she loved the outdoors, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. The couple enjoyed being on the road and she was happy seeing sights and nature at its fullest. The couple returned to Holyoke in the fall of 2001.

Mrs. McGee enjoyed seeing and spending time with her friends and relatives.

She is survived by her husband, Lynn, mother and stepfather, Enid and Harlan Hood of Holyoke, brother, James Ellingson and family of Fort Worth, Texas, siste4r and brother-in-law, Lori and Jerry Mann of Dallas, Texas, brother, Mike Ellingson and family of Wichita, Kan., brothers-in-law, Eugene McGee and family, Gerald Brunner, Duane McGee and family, Orin McGee and family, sister-in-law, Ruth Soppe and family, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Ellingson, and by her grandparents.

Memorials are suggested to the Heginbotham Library of Holyoke V.F.W., in appreciation for their help with durable medical equipment.

Roberts-Baucke Funeral Service, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
