Betty J. Albracht, 84

Betty Jean Albracht, 84, of Fort Calhoun, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, in Omaha.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tujesday, Oct. 30, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the church. A private interment is planned.

Betty was born April 24, 1923, in Dallas, S.D., to Bill and Ida Carroll. She married Si Albracht on Feb. 6, 1947.

Betty is survived by her daughters Pat, Teresa and Marne; sons-in-law Larry Pringle and Don Wales; grandchildren, Marne, Emily and Rosie Pringle, Jesse Ivarra, Sarah, Nick and Joe Wales; great-grandsons Kameron and Jefferey Pringle; beloved nephew, Boyd, and nieces, Carroll, Susan, Jeanne and Christi Lauritsen, and Kim and Jane Ommerman; and many dear, wonderful friends. Betty brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. God rest her gentle soul.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Si, in January 2006; brothers and sisters Jerry, Pat and Tuss Carroll and Dede Hundelt; nephew, Bruce Lauritsen.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are gratefully accepted in her name to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, St. John The Baptist Catholic Church and Hospice House – Josie Harper Residence.
