Marian Biggerstaff

Funeral services for Marian Biggerstaff, 88, of Norfolk will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Home for Funerals, Norfolk. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Kennard Cemetery, Kennard, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to services at the Home for Funerals, Norfolk, Nebraska.

Marian died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Faith Regional Health Services West Campus.

Marian was born on October 4, 1919, on the family farm near New Castle, the daughter of John and Camilla (Pederson) McCracken. She was raised on the farm and attended rural school.

On October 4, _____, Marian married Herman Biggerstaff. They made their home on farm near New Castle.

In 1973, she moved to San Diego, CA. Ten years later she moved to Springfield, MO, and in 1993 she moved to Norfolk.

Marian had been employed as a cook in several restaurants.

Marian is survived by her children and their spouses-Herman Biggerstaff, Jr., of Mountain Home, AK, Mardell and Ed Hutchings, of Baton Rouge, LA, Verla and Carl Kloster, of San Diego, CA, Connie and Jim Lowell, of Rapid City, SD, and Gary and Pat Biggerstaff, of Norfolk; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth McCracken, of Portland, OR.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents.
