Ted G. Bentley, 85, of Fort Calhoun, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Interment will be in the Verdon Cemetery near Verdon. Visitation will be Sunday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home beginning at 2 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

Ted G. Bentley was born Sept. 9, 1928, in Rulo, to George and Helen (Frederick) Bentley.

He was raised in Rulo and attended Rulo High School. After high school he was employed with Richardson County.

He married Dorothy German in 1948. She preceded him in death in 1995.

In the 1950s, he was employed with Massman’s doing barge work on the river. He then went to work for Ft. Calhoun Stone and was employed there for 27 years until his retirement in 1992.

In 1997, he married Molly Tunender in Rockport, Mo.

Mr. Bentley enjoyed spending his free time fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Molly Bentley; son Ted (Sandy) Bentley; grandson Jason (Michelle) Bentley; great-grandchildren Morgan and Colby Bentley; stepdaughters: Heidi (Mike) Livermore, Jennifer (Craig) Smith and Heather Tunender (Jim Brill); stepgrandson Andrew Livermore; brothers: Ray Bentley, Donald Bentley and Gary Bentley.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy German Bentley; infant son Alan; and great-granddaughter Alexa Ann.

Memorials may be directed to Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.
