SERVICES HELD TUESDAY FOR EDNA CASPER

Funeral Services for Mrs. Edna Casper, 87, of Wayne, were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3rd, at the United Presbyterian Church in Wayne, with the Reverend Robert Haas officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.

Edna Casper, the daughter of Delmer and Nettie McVey Call, was born September 29, 1890, at Stockham, Nebraska. She attended Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln where she met Robert Casper, who was a student at the University of Nebraska Dental College. The couple was married April 29, 1916, at Aurora, Nebraska. They lived in St. Edward, Nebraska, where he had a practice until 1926 when they moved to Wayne. Dr. Casper preceded her in death in 1965.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Harrison, of Blair; 2 grandchildren, Mark of Blair and Scott of Lincoln.

Mrs. Casper died December 30, 1977 at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital.

A member of the Wayne Presbyterian Church since 1926, she was also active in Federated Women’s Club, Wayne Hospital Board and Auxiliary, Wayne Chapter No. 194, OES and a past President of Nebraska State Chapter P.E.O.

The Lord’s Prayer and How Great Thou Art were sung by Mrs. Doniver Peterson.

Pallbearers were Charles Carhart, Joe Nuss, Howard Witt, Ralph Beckenhauer, Jim Heir, Don Wightman, and Kenneth Olds.
