Services were Monday, September 23 at the Presbyterian Church in Tekamah for Leo Chamberlain, 89, formerly of Herman who died September 20, 1991 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Rev. Thomas E. Robson officiated. Burial was in Tekamah Cemetery.

Leo Chamberlain was born August 18, 1902 in Burt County to Cyrus and Tillie Frank Chamberlain. He attended school in Herman.

He was a member of the Oddfellows Lodge and the Presbyterian Church in Tekamah.

He married Bertha Plummer October 14, 1926 in Blair. They farmed near Herman their entire life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, three brothers and a son-in-law.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha, a daughter, Barbara Steen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a son, Gerald Chamberlain of Herman; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah was in charge of arrangements.
