Dr. Gordon Patterson will officiate at funeral services at First United Methodist Church in Blair, at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 1984, for Virgil E. Chamberlin, 78, who passed away on March 25th at River Bluff Nursing Home in Rockford, Illinois. Bette Kirk will be organist at the funeral services, which are being conducted by Campbell Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Dunlap, Iowa.

Pallbearers will be David Chamberlin, Curt Holliday, Eric Holliday, Charles Tyson, and Ken Tyson.

Virgil E. Chamberlin was born in Dunlap, Iowa on June 10, 1905, to Herman and Ethel Fritz Chamberlin. He had been in the TV and Radio Repair business.

SERVICE SET FOR FORMER BLAIR TV MAN

Funeral services for 78 year old Virgil E. Chamberlin will be held on Thursday, March 29 at the First United Methodist Church in Blair with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Virgil E. Chamberlin was a self employed T.V. repairman in Blair for about 40 years. He died Sunday, March 25 in Rockford, Illinois where he has lived for the last three years.

He was born on June 10, 1905 in Dunlap, Iowa to Herman and Ethyl Chamberlin. He married Floren Detwilder in September, 1927 at Dunlap, Iowa.

He is survived by two daughters. They are: Mrs. Richard (Wanda) Holliday, Rockford, Illinois and Mrs. Charles (Linda) Tyson of Loves Park, Illinois, and one son, Lloyd, of Seattle, Washington. There are surviving eight grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and on one.
