The following obituary was received from Reider, South Dakota, of a former resident of Herman:

Sally Warren Darden was born December 5, 1868 at McKinley, Alabama, and passed away October 25, 1922, at Garrison, North Dakota. On February 5, 1891, she was married to Orton C. Dorsey at Kinmindy, Ill. Four children were born to this union, three of whom remain to mourn the loss of the departed mother. They are Charles Forest, of Outlook, Washington; Lucy Marie, of Great Falls, Montana; and Nina Bell, who is at home. These children together with the husband and father suffer this bereavement. Josie Helen, another daughter, died in infancy. Mrs. Dorsey was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and had been since childhood. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. The funeral was held October 29th, Rev. L. R. Burgum, pastor of the First Methodist church of Washburn, officiating. Stevens Flatt Ladies Club and a number of intimate friends of the family gathered at the Dorsey home and with the family accompanied the remains to the church where a large gathering awaited them. Rev. Burgum made a very touching appeal to the living to follow the example so beautifully set by Mrs. Dorsey in her life of service to her family and her devotion to Christian principles. The splendid floral offerings and large assembly at the church was indication of the high esteem in which the departed was held by her friends and all those who knew her were her friends. The body was laid to rest in the Garrison cemetery. Her friends in Herman extend their sincere sympathy to the family in this their time of sorrow.
