FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MAUDE DOWELL AT 2 P.M. TODAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Dowell of Arlington will be held today, Monday, at 2 p.m. at the Arlington Community Church, with the Rev. Bryce Hecht officiating.

Interment will be in the Arlington Cemetery. A memorial in Mrs. Dowell’s name has been established for the church.

Mrs. Dowell was born in Brandenburg, Ky., Sept. 18, 1886, to Debert and Hallie Bullock. She moved to Washington, Neb., in 1919 and lived there for two years before coming to Arlington. She has lived in Arlington ever since.

Mrs. Dowell was married to Thomas Dowell on Christmas of 1914 in Garfield, Ky.

She was a member of the Arlington Community Church and was in the Community Church’s women’s group, as well as in Sarepta Chapter No. 48 of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a past Worthy Matron.

Surviving her are her husband, Thomas Dowell; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Phyllis) Kepler of Lincoln; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Taylor of Forrest Park, Ill.; and a granddaughter, Kay Lynn of Lincoln.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MAUDE DOWELL WERE HELD MONDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Dowell of Arlington were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Arlington Community Church with the Rev. Bryce Hecht officiating.

Honorary pallbearers were: Vernon Marshall, Avery Haynes, Dr. David Bloch, Clarence Rockwell, Leonard Thompson, Alfred Baker, Bud Gaines, Dr. Jack Cady, Henry Meadows and Richard Melvard.
