Mable Catherine “Kay” Lange-McGill, 76, of rural Decatur died March 23, 1988, at the Hospitality Care Center at Charlotte, North Carolina, after a lengthy illness.

Kay was born May 1, 1911, at Decatur to Frederick O. and Minnie C. (Nordsick) Lange.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth H. Lange-McGill on August 17, 1930, at Red Oak, Iowa.

Kay and her husband d, Kenneth, loved to travel.

They made their home between Decatur and Tekamah on a farmstead that they named “Golden Springs”.

Kay was a long—time member of Riverside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth H. Lange-McGill of rural Decatur; one son, Kenneth H. Lange-McGill, Jr. and his wife, Marilyn of Charlotte, North Carolina, two grandchildren; Kenneth, III and Allison Lange-McGill; two sisters-in-law; Marian (Mrs. Irby) Wood of Washington, D.C. and Erma Ovenden of Seattle, Washington; and a host of friends.

Local funeral services were held March 28, 1988, at the Riverside Baptist Church north of Tekamah with Rev. Larry Orvis officiating.

Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Local arrangements were handled by the Hamel and Peck Funeral Home at Tekamah.

The family has requested that memorials be made to the Riverside Baptist Church.
