Mrs. Kenneth McIntosh Died Thursday

Mrs. Kenneth McIntosh, of 1114 State Street, died Thursday, June 21st at her home. She had been a resident of Blair for the past 22 years. For several years she had been employed at Dana College in the food department of the dining room.

Ethel Mae McIntosh was born at Tekamah, May 26, 1923, and was fifty years of age at her death. She was the daughter of Jonas and Gertie Metzler. She was married to Kenneth McIntosh May 21, 1948 at Fremont.

The deceased was active in a number of local organizations. She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Rebekah Lodge, the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbors.

She raised a family of eight children, all of whom survive their mother’s death.

The sons are: Gerald K. McIntosh, Jr., of Blair; George Lee McIntosh, of Tekamah; George James Salleng, of Phoenix, Arizona. The daughters: Yvonne G. Ladd, Buena Park, California; Ruth Elaine Salleng, Los Angeles, Calif.; Debra Jolene McIntosh, Blair; Geraldine Rose Metzler, Millard; Irene Joy Nordstrom, Tekamah.

Mrs. McIntosh is survived by eleven brothers and sisters, most of whom live in the Blair and Tekamah area. They are: Harold Metzler, James Metzler, Ernest Metzler, George Metzler, Glenn Metzler, Calvin Metzler, Earl Metzler, Luzetta Campbell, Elizabeth Bohannon, Annie Daniels and Erna Hampton.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the First Christian Church, the Rev. Ray Phelps conducting the service. Burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

Pallbearers will be nephews. The Rebekah Lodge will conduct graveside services.
