MRS. DREES DIED AT CROWELL HOME

Mrs. Lila Evelyn Drees, a resident of Crowell Memorial Home, died there last Monday, November 23rd. She had been a resident of the home since 1961.

Mrs. Drees was born December 14, 1885 at Wisner, Nebraska and was 79 years old at the time of her death. She was married to William Drees December 16, 1912 at Wisner and moved with her husband to Verdel, Nebraska where they farmed until 1935. At that time they returned to Wisner and continued farming there until 1944.

They moved to Blair in 1944 and lived on an acreage here until Mr. Drees’ death in 1951. After that date, Mrs. Drees moved to Crowell Memorial Home.

Mrs. Drees is survived by a son, William N. Drees, of Silver Springs, Maryland and by a daughter, Miss Nelda K. Drees of Beatrice, Nebraska. There are five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 27th at the Bendorf Funeral Home and burial will be made in the Blair cemetery.
