(picture) Marilyn J. McCormick, 87, of Bellevue, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, in Bellevue.

Services were Feb. 20 at St. James United Methodist Church in Bellevue. Interment was in the Bellevue Cemetery.

Marilyn J. Guyer was born March 27, 1926, to Fred M. and Pearl (Triplett) Guyer.

She was a graduate of Blair High School and attended Dana College. She married William J. McCormick.

She had volunteered more than 40 years at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha.

She is survived by her children: Kathleen and Jim Johnson, Ann and Steve Rush, Sharon and Larry Pfeiffer, Michael and Jeannine McCormick, Mary McCormick and Keith Blount; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. McCormick; her parents and an older sister, Nadine Bader.

Memorials may be directed to the Henry Doorly Zoo or St. James United Methodist Church in Bellevue.

Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel, Heafey-Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler, was in charge of arrangements.

Survived by her children, Kathleen and Jim Johnson, Ann and Steve Rush, Sharon and Larry Pfeiffer, Michael and Jeannine McCormick, Mary McCormick and Keith Blount; grandchildren, Colleen Hudson (Kent), Kimberly Sudbeck (Kelly), Bill McCormick (Sara), Ryan MCormick (Traci), Katy Patterson, Emily Pfeiffer, Brian Pfeiffer, Max Counter and Renae Counter; great grandchildren, Trevor and Ty, Max and Mia, Matt, Grace, Lillie and Greyeton.

Family will receive friends from 5-7pm Wednesday, February 19 at Bellevue Memorial Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICE Thursday, February 20 at 10:30am, St. James United Methodist Church, 1502 Franklin, Bellevue. Interment Bellevue Cemetery.
