G. Kenneth McIntosh, 77

Kenneth McIntosh, Sr., 77, died at the Bergan Mercy Hospital on Monday, Dec. 5, 1988.

Kenneth was born on July 14, 1911, at Page, Ne., to John and Nellie (Smith) McIntosh. Kenneth attended school in O’Neill. He farmed in the O’Neill and Tekamah areas until moving to Blair in 1943. Kenneth worked at Blair Manufacturing until his retirement.

He was united in marriage to Erna Hampton Miller on Aug. 21, 1976. Kenneth was a member of the Blair Eagles, Blair IOOF-14, Bug and Sam Chapter of the Nebraska Good Sam Club, Local Weego Camper Club and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Erna, of Blair; three sons, George McIntosh of Lincoln, Gerald McIntosh of Herman and George Salleng of California; five daughters, Geraldine Metzler of Omaha, Irene Nordstron of Tekamah, Debra Boyce of Herman, Yvonne Ladd of Buena Park, Ca., and Ruth Salleng of La Mirada, Ca.; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ethel Clyde and wife Ethel Metzler, three brothers, Arthur, Ray and Floyd McIntosh and by one sister, Merle McIntosh.

Services for G. Kenneth McIntosh, Sr. will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 8, 1988, at the First United Methodist Church in Blair with Dr. Howard Bailey officiating.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Campbell Funeral Home in Blair.
