John H. McIntosh, 82, of Blair, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Services were Thursday, Jan. 21, at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel.

Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

John H. McIntosh was born June 14, 1916, on a farm near Modale, Iowa, to John A. and Lena Bell (Engelke) McIntosh.

He attended school in Mondamin and Modale, Iowa.

On Feb. 20, 1943, he married Anna Daniels in Blair.

He worked for Petersen Construction as a welder building barges. He then worked as a welder for Kelly Ryan Manufacturing for more than 34 years.

He is survived by his wife, Anna of Blair; one son, Danny, of Blair; two granddaughters; and three sisters, Goldie Houdesheldt of Blencoe, Iowa, Eva Engen of Modale and Grace Baker of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Anna Belle; two brothers and two sisters.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
