William Burgess, 63, of 3944 South Street, Omaha, was buried Monday afternoon at Kennard following rites at the Kennard Methodist Church.

He was born in Kennard in *1890, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Burgess, early-day Kennard residents. He grew to manhood there and entered the livestock buying business with his father. About thirty years ago he moved to Omaha and has been associated with cattle buying firms.

In 1918, he was married to Miss Mary Meissner, of Blair, and to this union five children were born. Mrs. Gilbert Haas (Betty) resides at Morrill, Nebraska. Another daughter, Miss Bonny Burgess and a son, Bob are at home in Omaha and Wm. H. resides at Carroll, Iowa.

A son preceded his father in death.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Crosby-Kunold Mortuary in Omaha and services followed at 4 P.M. at the Methodist Church in Kennard. The Rev. Theodore Konvalin, of Omaha, was in charge of the Kennard services and burial in the Kennard Cemetery.
