Mrs. Seltz, 75, Succumbs

Long a De Soto Resident, She Had Lived at Crowell Home 10 Years.

Mrs. Elizabeth Seltz, 75, who lived at DeSoto many years before becoming a resident of the Crowell Home here some ten years ago, died Friday night at Blair Hospital. The well-known Washington County woman had suffered a severe heart attack Wednesday evening at the Home.

Funeral services were conducted at First Methodist Church in Blair Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. A.D. Burress of Lincoln officiated, and interment was in Fort Calhoun Cemetery. Pallbearers were three grandsons, Donald Lage, E. Gordon Kruse and Harold Andersen, and three nephews, Charles Seltz, Robert Smith and Roland Smith, Jr. The Sievers Funeral Home of Fort Calhoun had charge of arrangements.

As Elizabeth Hamblet, Mrs. Seltz was born Aug. 25, 1872, at Liberty, Mo. She and Harry C. Seltz of DeSoto were married Dec. 15, 1896, and farmed at DeSoto many years. Mr. Seltz died in the fall of 1936.

Surviving Mrs. Seltz are three daughters, Mrs. Grant Lage and Mrs. Ernest Kruse, both of Fort Calhoun, and Mrs. Lorraine Mummert of Blair; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. P.J. Hunter of Omaha; and two brothers, H. C. Hamblet of Sturgis, S.D. and Frank R. Hamblet of Sacramento, Calif.

OLD SETTLER DIED FRIDAY

Mrs. Elizabeth Seltz died Friday night, July 23, at the Blair Hospital after a severe heart attach Wednesday evening at Crowell Memorial Home where she has been a resident for the past ten years. She was 75 years old.

Elizabeth Hamblet was born August 25, 1872 at Liberty, Missouri. On December 15, 1896 she was married to Harry C. Selts of DeSoto who passed away in the fall of 1936.

Surviving are: three daughters, Mrs. Grant Lage and Mrs. Ernest Kruse of Fort Calhoun and Mrs. Lorraine Mummert of Blair; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. P. J. Hunter of Omaha; and two brothers, H. C. Hamblet of Sturgis, S. Dak., and Frank R. Hamblet of Sacramento, California.
