Services Held For Hattie Sexton

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 27, at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington for Hattie H. Sexton, 91, of Arlington, who died August 24, 1983, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. The Rev. Gene Laramy of Arlington Community Church officiated. Burial was in Prospect View Cemetery at Pierce.

Hattie H. Sexton was born June 7, 1892, in Norfolk. She lived in Arlington for three years, grew up in Norfolk and moved to Pierce County after she married John A. Sexton on February 22, 1911, in Pierce County. She moved to Omaha in 1955 and to Arlington in 1980.

She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Osmond. She also belonged to the Osmond Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on October 23, 1948.

She is survived by a son, Earl Sexton of Arlington; and daughters, Verna Virgina Sexton of Fremont, Mrs. Elwin (Evelyn) Hall of Grand Island and Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Brokaw of Arlington. A sister, Mrs. Ann Matthews of Odessa, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild also survive her.
