Sherrill J. Bloch, 77, of Arlington, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Nye Legacy in Fremont.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Memorial visitation will be 4-8 p.m.Tuesday and family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation continues Wednesday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Arlington Cemetery following the service.
Sherrill J. Lenihan was born Aug. 26, 1936, at York, to Charles and Ina (Culbertson) Lenihan.
She grew up in Fremont and was a 1954 graduate of Fremont Senior High School. She graduated in 1957 from Immanuel College of Nursing in Omaha with an R.N. degree.
On May 26, 1960, she married Dr. Dean M. Bloch in Fremont.
She worked in the Denver, Colo., area and later in Omaha as a surgical nurse. In her later years, she worked with her husband in Arlington.
She loved taking care of her family and following her grandchildren's activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband on Feb. 24, 2008.
She is survived by son David Bloch and wife Kathy of Hooper; daughters, Susan Anderson and husband Gary of North Bend and Terri Westergaard-Crone of Arlington; brother Donn Lenihan and wife Nancy of Rogers, Ark.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Dodge County Humane Society.
