Sean P. Duffey, 32, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at the Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at the Local 21 Ironworkers Union Hall, 14515 Industrial Road in Omaha.

Sean Patrick Duffey was born Aug. 21, 1977, in Omaha to John “Pat” and Diane Duffey.

He was raised in Lakewood, Colo., where he attended school. He moved to Omaha where he completed the ironworker apprenticeship and became a proud member of Local 21.

On Dec. 31, 2001, he married Stephanie (Manzer) Duffey in Las Vegas, Nev. The couple had three children.

In his spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowboarding, camping, four-wheeling, and going to the Lake of the Ozarks to boat and ski. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends.

He is remembered as a loyal friend who brightened the life of everyone with whom he came into contact. He was a loving family man and caring neighbor and friend.

He is survived by his daughters, Natalie and Shauna Duffey and son, Nathan Duffey, all of Omaha; estranged wife, Stephanie Dufffey, also of Omaha; parents, John “Pat” Duffey and wife, Lucy Lauritsen, of Blair; and Diane Duffey of Golden, Colo.; sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and Donovan Bowen, also of Golden; a niece and nephew; grandmother, Barbara Adams of Papillion; and a host of other relatives, friends and brother ironworkers.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Judy Duffey and Donald Schultz and his stepfather, Terry Armitage.

Son of John (Pat) Duffey of Blair, NE and Diane Duffey of Golden, CO. Born in Omaha, NE. He departed this life at the Lake of the Ozarks, MO at the age of 32. He was united in marriage to Stephanie (Manzer) Duffey in Las Vegas, NV on December 31st, 2003, and to this union three children were born. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Judy Duffey and Donald Schultz and his stepfather Terry Armitage. Survivors include daughters, Natalie and Shauna Dufffey, son Nathan Duffey of Omaha, NE; estranged wife, Stephanie Duffey of Omaha, NE; parents, John “Pat” Duffey and wife Lucy Lauritsen of Blair, NE and Diane Duffey of Golden, CO; sister Tracy Bowen and her husband, Donovan Bowen of Golden, CO; niece and nephew Sydney and Mason Bowen, both of Golden, CO; grandmother, Barbara Adams of Papillion, NE and a host of other relatives and many, many friends and brother ironworkers. Sean was raised in Lakewood, CO and attended school there. He moved to Omaha where he completed the ironworker apprenticeship and became a proud member of Local 21. He was a loyal friend and brightened everyone’s life he came in contact with. He was an amazing person that we will miss every minute of every day. In his spare time he enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowboarding, camping, fourwheeling and coming to the Lake of the Ozarks to boat and ski. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Sean was a loving family man and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 3 pm Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Local 21 Ironworkers Union Hall at 14515 Industrial Rd., Omaha, NE, 68144.

Memorial donations may be made to The Duffey Family, at the union hall.
