Harold I. Anderson, Sr., 69, of Craig died early on Thursday morning, May 12, 1988, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair after a lengthy illness.

He was born on November 5, 1918, to Roy and Ida (Larsen) Anderson at rural Lyons.

Harold farmed with his father in early years, and later worked on road and heavy construction and drove truck in the area.

He was married to Lavera Grafe on December 5, 1943, at Bancroft.

Survivors include his wife, Lavera Anderson of Craig; five sons: Layton Anderson of Blair, Harold Anderson, Jr, (Harry) of Craig, Bud Anderson of Anchorage, Alaska, Gerry Anderson of Richland, Missouri, and Jim Anderson of Craig; six daughters: Wanda (Mrs. Russell) Puffer of Craig, Judy (Mrs. Francis) Rahlfs of Blair, Jane (Mrs. Robert) Anderson of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Janice (Mrs. Donald) Paulson of Oxford, Connie (Mrs. Charles) Delp of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and Lesa (Mrs. Robert) Bales of Fremont; 24 grandchildren, one sister, Lavern Molvig, and one brother, Raymond Anderson, both of Bancroft; one nephew, Stanley Molvig of Libo Lakes, Minnesota.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 14, 1988, at the Craig United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Hal Smith officiating.

Interment will be in the Craig Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by the Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah.

The family has requested memorials in lieu of floral tributes.
