Former California Junction, Iowa, resident David R. Dungan, 58, of Edwardsville, Kan., died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, in Kansas City, Kan.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 20, at Porter Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kan.

David R. Dungan was born July 19, 1943, to Miles and Ella Dungan. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, three sons; sisters, Delores Peters of Blair, and Jean Mancil of Fairbanks, Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Porter Funeral Home in Kansas City is in charge of arrangements.

Dungan, David Roscoe, age 58 years., Edwardsville, KS, passed away Dec. 17, 2001 at Providence Medical Center. David was born July 19, 1943 in Edgemont, SD. He lived in Omaha, NE before moving to Edwardsville, KS. He is survived by his wife, Barbara E. Dungan; sons, Brian, Shawn and John Dungan; daughters, Shelly Esposito and Wendy Dungan; sisters, Deloris Peters and Jean Mancil. He was a member of White Church Christian Church, Ben-Hur Masonic Lodge #322, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Abdallah Shrine, Eastern Star and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a Black Belt in Judo and Karate, and a member of USJA, USJF and USJL. He worked for Acme Radiator and Air Conditioning and had been a Teamster for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE 2:30 pm Thurs., Dec. 20th at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 1-2 pm Thurs. at Porter Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriner’s Hospitals, c/o Abdallah Shrine.
