MARVA L. DORFMEYER, 68

Marva L. Dorfmeyer, 68, of Fremont, died Thursday, May 11, 2006, at Fremont Area Medical Center.

Funeral services were Monday, May 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont, with interment at Fremont’s Memorial Cemetery.

Marva L. Dorfmeyer was born June 19, 1937, in rural Nickerson to Albert and Vera (Echtenkamp) Laaker. She grew up in the Telbasta community, north of Arlington. She was a 1955 graduate of Arlington High School. After graduating, she moved to Fremont.

She was a secretary for six years at the Gambles Warehouse in Fremont, and from 1980 to 1999, she was the secretary for the Bob Dorfmeyer Plumbing Co. in Fremont.

On Feb. 14, 1959, she married Bob E. Dorfmeyer at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Dorfmeyer was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ryan and Darcy Dorfmeyer of Fremont, and Troy Dorfmeyer of Omaha; daughter, Tricia Dorfmeyer of Fremont; brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Ila Laaker of Fremont; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Darcy R. Dorfmeyer; infant brother, Gerald Laaker; and a sister, Mardell Mohler.

Memorials are suggested top Trinity Lutheran Church.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
