Linda Joan Lund, 65

Linda Joan Lund, 65, of Blair, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, in Blair.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at Campbell-Aman Funeral home in Blair. Visitation with the family present will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 7, at the funeral home.

Linda Joan Nothnagel was born Feb. 3, 1949, in Omaha to Walter E. and Virginia Ruth Darling Nothnagel. She spent her childhood in Omaha.

On Feb. 15, 1970, she married Walter Raymond "Ray" Lund Jr.

They lived in a variety of places during their first 10 years together before moving to Blair, where they have lived for the last 34 years.

Mrs. Lund was what many would call a homemaker, but was really a professional volunteer. She touched the lives of thousands of children as a Sunday school teacher, a Girl Scout leader and as a camp director at Camp Crossed Arrows Girl Scout Camp. She also gave of her time, talents and treasures to the National T.T.T. Society, an organization that supports the community in a number of ways, most importantly giving girls the opportunity to attend summer camp.

She spent 15 years providing activities for the residents of Crowell Memorial Home. She loved working with both young and old.

She loved holidays, liked to travel and enjoyed doing crafts, but her favorite thing was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Raymond "Ray" Lund Jr.; children: Lisa and Randy Raszler of Omaha, Scott and Katie Lund of Blair, Robin and Scott Johnson of Dakota City and John and Natalie Lund of Petersburg, Va. ; grandchildren: Jordan, Max, Cameran, Nathan, Nina, Andrew, Hannah, Sam, Brian and baby Lund; sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Ron Larsen of West Palm Beach, Fla.; brother and sisters-in-law: Robert and Wini Lund and Ruth Ann and Mike Sibilia; numerous family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Walter E. Nothnagel and mother Virginia Ruth Darling Nothnagel Moore.
