Celia McKenney Buried March 16th

Funeral services were held Monday, March 16th for Celia McKenney at the First Lutheran Church at 2 o’clock with Rev. Frank Nielsen officiating and burial was in Blair Cemetery.

Celia Ellen McKenney was born near Blair March 16th, 1885 and passed away March 9th, 1964 at the Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

Until the death of her sister, Mrs. Oliver Hudleson in 1951, she made her home with the Hudleson family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Morris McKenney, two sisters, Mrs. Melissa Dexter and Mrs. Oliver Hudleson and two brothers, Morris and Alvin.

She was a member of the first Lutheran Church and was one of the first persons to take up residency at Good Shepherd Home.

Survivors are a nephew, Lee Hudleson of Omaha and three nieces, Mrs. T. A. Bohs of Blair, Mrs. James Day of Lingle, Wyoming, and Mrs. Carl Bolt of Schuyler, Nebraska.

Pall bearers were Ansel Toft, Earl Long, Don Lippincott, Ernest Bobs, James Hansen and Frank Root.

Those attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Carson and Mrs. Wm. Latta of Logan, Iowa and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bolt of Schuyler, Nebraska, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hudleson of Omaha.
