Delbert Deon Stevens, 64, of Shell Knob, Mo., died Friday, March 7, 2014, at his home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Delbert Deon Stevens was born Nov. 21, 1949, in Norfolk, to John Henry Stevens and Frances Alma (Brand) Stevens.

He grew up and received his education in Blair, where he graduated from high school.

During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Army.

He was employed as a machinist for Sperry Vickers Inc. in Omaha, making hydraulic pumps for John Deere for more than 30 years.

In 2009, he moved from Nebraska to Shell Knob to make his home and live out his dream. Some of his favorite pastimes were landscaping, carpentry, fishing and riding motorcycles. He was a very innovative man, patient as can be and loved by all.

He is survived by his mother, Frances Keller, of Blair; daughter Ashley Stevens of Carter Lake, Iowa; son Justin Harris and Diana Morrissey of Edmond, Okla.; brothers: Stanley Stevens of Pembroke, Maine, Leroy Stevens of Blair and Don Stevens of Auburn; sisters: Ina Cooper of Blair, Beverly Coover and Monica Counts of Fremont, Diana Pleskac and Noma Roesler of Blair; grandchildren: Jaxon Swedlund, Viand Mavropoulos and Olivia Mae Morrissey.

He was preceded in death by his father; and brother Howard.

Shell Knob, Missouri. Passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, at his home. He was born November 21, 1949, in Norfolk, Nebraska, the son of John Henry Stevens and Frances Alma (Brand) Stevens Keller.
