Mrs. C. Shadley Buried At Kennard Tuesday, Febr. 20 Mrs. Clayton Shadley (Lyda Drevsen) formerly of Kennard, a retired teacher of Monterey, California died Friday, February 16th in Reno, Nevada, where she had lived the past 2 years.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 20, with burial in the Kennard cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Sue, Mrs. Jerry Lykins of Reno, Nevada, one son Thomas Shadley of Los Angeles, California and 3 grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Rex Gay, lives at Grand Island and there are 3 brothers: George, of Bassett, Nebraska, Ottis and Delmar of Grand Island, Nebraska.

Pallbearers were Leslie French, Lloyd Jacob, Milo Jeppersen, Jim Madden, John Marshall, Harold Misfeldt.

A dinner was served at the Harold Misfeldt home, those present in addition to the previously named, were: Harry Drevsen, of Norfolk; Mrs. Lewis Bendine of Haskins, Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Madden, of Free Port, Illinois; Opal Jeppesen, Mrs. Dwane Chappelear, Mrs. Loran Rogers, Mrs. Walter Christiansen, Mrs. John Lorsch and Denise Lambert, all of this area.

Lyda D. Shadley, 70 of 10 Irving Circle, died Friday, in a Reno hospital.

A native of Kennard, Neb., she had resided here for two years and, prior to her retirement, had taught school in Monterey, Calif., from 1927 until 1968.

Surviving are her children, Sue Lykins, of Reno; Thomas Shadley, of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Henrietta Gay, of Grand Island, Neb., brothers, George, Otis and Delmar Drevsen, all of Grand Island; three grandchildren.

Funeral and burial will be conducted in Kennard, Neb.

Walton Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
