Mrs. S. W. Chambers passed away January 2nd following a three weeks illness of heart trouble.

Deceased was born at Geneva, Neb. September 10, 1870 where she grew to maturity and it was here that she met and married Mr. S. W. Chambers September 1, 1887. To this union two children were born, Lloyd Chambers and Mrs. Mona Deets, both of this city.

Mr. and Mrs. Chambers came to Blair thirty-three years ago and have since made their home. She was a lady of refinement, with a bright, sunny disposition that made many friends for herself and no family was held in higher respect than Mr. and Mrs. Chambers and the sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved husband in his hour and sorrow.

She was a member of the Congregational church and of the Order of the Eastern Star, although on account of poor health she had not been active in either organization for some time.

The funeral services were held from the home Saturday afternoon at two o’clock with Rev. Daugherty officiating and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Besides the grief stricken husband and two children already mentioned, she leaves a brother, Frank Beales of Mooreland, Oklahoma and a sister, Mrs. Lyle Cumberland of Geneva, Nebraska.
