FORMER COUNTYIAN DIED TUESDAY AT OAKLAND, CALIF.

Mrs. Edna Champion, a native of Washington County, died Tuesday at Oakland, California following an illness of about three weeks. Mrs. Champion was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Olsen of the Washington Village area. Mrs. Champion was 59 years of age and had lived in California for more that 25 years.

She is survived by her husband, Rene and by two children Sandra and David.

Services were held at Oakland Wednesday after which the body will be shipped to Nebraska for burial. Funeral services will be held at the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard with the Rev. Wayne Josephson conducting the service. Burial will be made in the Kennard Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home in Blair.

The date of the Kennard services are pending at this time.

FUNERAL SERVICE FOR EDNA CHAMPION SAT. JULY 10

Services were held at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard on Sat. July 10, 1976 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Josephson officiating and Homer Nielsen sang “Amazing Grace” and “Just As I Am”.

Pallbearers were Alvin Andersen, Henry Kroeger, Louis Higer, Eric Knudsen, Ray Andersen and Derald Ericksen.

Interment was at Prairie View Cemetery with Bendorf Funeral Home in charge.
