Mother of Blairites Died Saturday

Mrs. Irma Caroline Shamburg, a resident of Tekamah, but mother of several Blairites, died Saturday, July 8th, at the McBride Nursing Home in Blair. She was 78 years old.

Mrs. Shamburg was born near Tekamah December 16, 1882, and spent her entire life in that area. Her husband, the late Jerome Shamburg, preceded her in death in 1958.

She leaves five sons, Waldo Shamburg of Herman; Kenneth Shamburg of Blair; Jack of Tekamah; Dean of Tacoma, Wash., and Norman Shamburg of Omaha. There are 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A brother, Lloyd Peck, of Tekamah, also survives.

Mrs. Shamburg has been undergoing care at the McBride Nursing Home for the past year and one half.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 12th, at Tekamah and burial was made in the Tekamah cemetery.
