Mrs. Kenneth Shamburg Died Here Friday

Mrs. Kenneth Shamburg, lifelong resident of the Blair area, died Friday at Memorial Community Hospital at the age of 64.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reinholdt Bloomquist, early day machinist and blacksmith of Blair.

Marjorie Shamburg was born at Blair on August 5, 1906 and spent her entire life here. She was married to Kenneth Shamburg who survives her death. Other survivors are her children, Mrs. Marjorie Sorensen of Arlington; Kenneth E. Shamburg of Lincoln; Mrs. Judith Young of Holton, Kansas; Tom Shamburg of Red Oak, Iowa; James Shamburg of Lincoln, Nebraska and John Vincent Shamburg of Roseburg, Oregon.

Three brothers survive. They are Reinholdt Bloomquist, of Omaha, Tom Bloomquist of Sacramento, California; Joe Bloomquiest of Denver.

There are four sisters: Mrs. Byrd Hoffman of Council Bluffs; Mrs. Elna Shielke of Idaho; Mrs. Grace Hess, of Phoenix, Arizona and Mrs. Theresa Taylor of Alaska.

There are 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are being held today (Monday) at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Father Daniel Brick conducting the service. Rosary was held Sunday evening at the Campbell Mortuary and burial, following the services today will be in Holy Cross Cemetery at Blair.
