| Services for Helen Anderson, 70, of Kennard, who died Monday, April 29, 1991 of an illness with cancer at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, will be 2 p.m. May 3 at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard, Nebraska.
Helen Roberts was born on February 21, 1921 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Alvin and Esther “Rowley” Roberts. She attended school in Arthur and St. Paul, Nebraska.
She married Roscoe Anderson April 27, 1938 at Tekamah, Nebraska.
She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors of America and the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles.
She had worked for Wilkinson Manufacturing, Good Shepherd Home, and at Dana College at the time of her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bob and Bill Roberts.
She is survived by her husband, Roscoe, three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Glenda, San Diego, California; Robert and Joyce, Kennard and Jerry and Pam of Arlington; eight grandchildren; one brother, Earl Roberts, Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Eloise Luebbe and Joan Roberts, both of Oregon.
A memorial has been established for the Emmaus Lutheran Church and the Cancer Society.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
