Services were Saturday for Donald A. Chapman, 70, of Sunland, California, formerly of Arlington.

Chapman died Wednesday at Tujunga, Calif. He was born August 31, 1907, at Arlington. He was a 1925 graduate of Arlington High School and attended the University of Nebraska.

Chapman was a manager for the Hoover Company in Denver, Dallas, and Tulsa. He moved to California in 1940 and was employed by Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank, Calif. He was co-owner of the Donallco Corporation which he founded.

He married the former Lilyan Hindley of Blair, Aug. 31, 1933, in Denver. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters Mrs. James (Sandra) Mullally of Altadena, Calif., and Mrs. Robert (Barry Jean) Hamm of Pomona, Calif.; a brother Joseph E. Chapman of San Diego, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes M. Henderson and Mrs. Milton (Helen) Metcalf, both of Hemet, Calif.; and Mrs. Warren (Jean) Clarke of Concord, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

Private funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Reckmeyer Funeral Home in Arlington with Rev. Bryce Hecht of Arlington Community Church officiating. Burial was at the Arlington Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.

Reckmeyer Funeral Home in Arlington was in charge of arrangements.
