Washington County native Helen A. Andersen, 85, of Seward, died Monday, March 21, 2005.

Funeral services were Thursday, March 24.

Helen A. Andersen was born Feb. 3, 1920, in Washington County to John and Anna (Jensen) Andersen. She was a 1937 graduate of Blair High School, and had worked as a typesetter for Lutheran Publishing House in Blair; the Fremont Guide and Tribune; and the Milford Times. She had lived in Seward since 1969, where she formerly worked for Graphic Printing, retiring in 1993.

She is survived by her nieces, Patricia Neuman of Omaha, Phyllis Puffer of Herman; sister-in-law, Hazel Andersen of Blair; great-nieces and great-nephews, special friend, Linda Jacox of Garland.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest and Clarence Andersen; sisters, Doris M. Andersen and Betty J. Andersen; and a niece, Susan Fees.

Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choice, in care of the family.

Signing of Rememberance Book: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at Wood-Zabka and one hour prior to service on Thursday.
