SERVICE FOR MRS. CHAPPELEAR TO BE THURSDAY

Funeral services for 77 year old Mayme Chappelear, of Arlington, will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 17th at the Arlington Community Church in Arlington. Mrs. Chappelear died on Saturday, January 12th, at the Sparks Family Hospital in Sparks, Nevada. Mrs. Chappelear was in Nevada visiting her daughter in Reno at the time of her death.

Mrs. Chappelear was born November 18, 1907 at Parnell, Missouri to Alponso and Bessa (Hawk) Bremer. Mrs. Chappelear was married to Wm. H. Chappelear on Feb. 21, 1930 at Omaha, Nebraska. He died on March 25th, 1959.

Mrs. Chappelear was a member of the Arlington Community Church. Mayme and her husband moved to the Arlington area in 1919. They lived in Arlington where they farmed, until 1959. Mrs. Chappelear then moved to Reno, Nevada where she worked at St. Mary’s Hospital as a Nurses Aid. In 1964 she returned to Arlington to manage her farm.

Mrs. Chappelear is survived by four sons; William, Duane, and Charles, all of Arlington, and Roy of Elk City, Nebraska. There is one surviving daughter, Mrs. Larry (Catherine) Bader of Reno, Nevada. She also has on brother, Fred Bremer, of Arlington, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Dr. Gene Laramy will officiate at the 2 p.m. Thursday services. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Chapel in Arlington.

Mrs. Chappelear was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, and infant sister and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: Gary, Ronald, Douglas and Mark Chappelear, Steve Bremer, and Warren Hammang.

Music for the service will be provided by Mrs. Ruby House at the organ and Mrs. Elaine Cady as the soloist.

Memorials may be given to the Arlington Community Church or the Arlington Library Expansion Fund.
