William L Shattuck, 80

A memorial service was held at St. Matthew’s By the Bridge Episcopal Church in Iowa Falls, Iowa for Rev. William L. Shattuck, 80, a former resident of Blair who died August 2, 1994.

During his ministry, he served as parish priest at St. Michael’s and All Angels in Denver, Colorado; St. George’s in Englewood, Colorado; St. Timothy’s in Littleton, Colorado; Gethsemane Church, Minneapolis, Minnesota; St. Mary’s Episcopal in Blair; Grace Memorial in Lynchburg, Virginia and St. Matthew’s By the Bridge in Iowa Falls.

In addition to his parish work, he was active in the ministry to the def. He was missionary to the deaf in Province IV, vicar of deaf ministry, Gethsemane Church, Minneapolis and was missionary to the deaf in the diocese of Southwest Virginia.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; his daughters, Virginia and Catherine; his sisters, Beatrice and Betty; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
