Wayne Sheble

Wayne Arthur Sheble, 54, died at Memorial Community Hospital, Blair, February 3.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 5, at the First Baptist Church, Blair. Rev. Alan Howe will officiate; Pat Gammel will be the organist, and Mike Ronhovde will be the vocalist.

Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Frank Maslosk; Kevin Harris; Jerry Wilke; Leroy Schafersman; Pam Koziel, and Sue Lewis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Barratt; William Snavely; Mike Ronhovde; Grant Andersen; Kathy Knisley; Bill Lewis; Roger Barratt; Norma Schafersman; Lois Jacobsen; Helen Spiker; Cyndy Mahoney; Lloyd Nave, and Karla Schutt.

Sheble, a life-long bachelor, was born in Lincoln on March 4, 1932, to Louis M. and Helen (Porter) Sheble.

He worked on the assembly line at Industrial Training Center.

Note: Wayne was one of the most faithful, friendly members of First Baptist Church. He was appreciative when helped to find the songs that would be sung, with papers to mark the pages. He always sat at the front of the church, but one Sunday he tripped on the old, wrinkled carpet that led to his pew. After a shocked silence, and thankful discovery that no bones were broken, the service went on—and the next week, there was a new, perfectly installed carpet down the center aisle.
