Ivan G. Doll, 68, of Nickerson, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, at First Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Mark Grorud and the Rev. Anjanette Rist will officiate. Interment will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Visitation will be held at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held at the church one hour prior to services.

Ivan G. Doll was born on Dec. 23, 1931, in Papillion to Albert C. and Anna (Dreessen) Doll. He grew up in Papillion and was a graduate of Papillion High School.

He served in the U.S. Army from March of 1953 to May of 1954. After his discharge, he farmed near Papillion for 10 years, then moved to the Telbasta area of Washington County, where he owned and operated Doll Farms Inc. He retired in January of 1994.

On March 7, 1953, he married Darlene O. Neuhaus at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Millard.

Mr. Doll was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Fremont, and served on the church council; he was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #200 of Fremont; American Legion Post #71 in Arlington; previously served on the church council of Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Michele Doll of Nickerson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy A. and Dale Hilgenkamp of Arlington, and Peggy J. and Steven Pribnow of Ames; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lyle and Gladys Doll of Elkhorn and Elden and Frances Doll of Sun City, Ariz.; brother-in-law, Henry and wife, Aleta Neuhaus of Elkhorn; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials are suggested to Fremont Area Medical Center Hospice Program and St. Paul’s Lutheran School at Arlington.
