MERNA B. (EVANS) DONAHER, 53

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 20, at St. Anne’s Church in Medical Lake, Washington for Merna B. Donaher, who died of cancer June 16, 1990 in a hospital at Spokane, Washington. Interment was in Marshall Cemetery.

Merna B. Evans was born July 20, 1936 at Octavia, Nebraska to Samuel L. Evans (deceased) and Frances J. Evans of Blair. She moved with her mother to Blair in 1953 and graduated from Blair High School in 1954.

She married Donald Donaher in 1954. He was in the Air Force; thus they lived in Lincoln, Nebraska; Minot, North Dakota; and Spokane, Washington, where they continued to live. She did volunteer work for the Red Cross at Fairchild Air Force Base, her church and community.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; her daughters, Colleen (Joe) Mastel at Medical Lake; Debra (Tom) Kerrigan of Seattle, Washington; Patricia (Abhi) Chakravarty of Kent, Washington; a son, David, Medical Lake; two grandchildren, Rachel Mastel and Joshua Mastel; sisters, Elsie (Joe) Stecki of Rogers, Nebraska; Rita (Winston) Beam of McPherson, Kansas; and Beverly (H. A.) Garcia of Deerfield, Illinois.

Arrangements were made by Ball and Dodd Funeral Home of Spokane, Washington.
