DIED

In Wise Memorial hospital Omaha, on Dec. 5, Mrs. Sarah A. Pickett, wife of Chas. A. Pickett, aged 74 years and 4 days.

Sarah A. Ballard was born in Ohio, in 1838 and resided there during her girlhood days, when she removed to Iowa, where her marriage to Mr. Pickett took place. She has resided in Omaha for some time.

Mrs. Pickett was a devoted wife and mother, a member of the Friend’s church and lived an earnest Christian life.

She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Lameller Stilts and Mrs. Lola Gibson, of Denver, and one son, W. A. Pickett, of Omaha. One son, Thomas A. preceded the mother to that land from whence no traveler returns. One sister, Mrs. Thomas Mead resides in Blair.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. P. Lang at the Methodist church in the city and interment made in Blair cemetery.
