DIED - - On Friday afternoon C. A. Dixon passed from this life to the one beyond after a two weeks’ illness. He had a stroke of paralysis and continued to grow worse until the end came.

Charles Albert Dixon was born in Jasper county, Iowa, fifty-seven years ago and was one of a family of twelve children - - seven boys and five girls. The sisters have all been dead many years, but he was the first one of the seven brothers to go.

Besides the brothers, he leaves a widow, one daughter and three sons to mourn the death of a kind brother, true husband and indulgent father.

The funeral obsequies were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon with Rev. C. P. Lang in charge and burial made in the Blair cemetery. The condolence of many friends is extended the bereaved relatives in the dark hour through which they are passing.
