EARLY DAY RESIDENT DIED ON THE WEST COAST
Clara Ann Dixon, an early-day resident of Blair and a member of one of the area’s oldest families, died at San Gabriel, California, August 1st. Mrs. Dixon was 92 years old.
She was born at DeSoto, Nebraska June 13, 1878 when that community was still a sizeable town. She lived in Blair until 1940 when she moved to California. She was the last survivor of the older generation of the Dixon and Gilliland families of Blair.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter, all of the California area.
Burial was at Whittier, California Wednesday.
