CURTIS L. DIXON DIED IN ARIZONA

Mr. Curtis Lee Dixon died in a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona on February 28th following a heart attack.

He was born April 19, 1895, north of Blair to Mr. and Mrs. John Dixon.

For many years he farmed near Ft. Calhoun, but retired about two years ago. He was active in the work of the Presbyterian Church in Ft. Calhoun and served as an elder.

He and his wife, Clementine Rody were the parents of three children. Mrs. Dixon died in 1958.

Mr. Dixon later married, December 12, 1960, Margaret Lathrop, who survives him. Other survivors are his two daughters, Dorothy Dixon of Omaha; Mrs. Jack Smith (Maxine) of El Centro, California; and a son Gerald of Lakeport, California. Also seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild and a brother Fred of Fremont.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 4th at the Presbyterian Church in Ft. Calhoun. The Rev. Keith Sackett of Ft. Calhoun and Rev. Don Killen, former pastor, officiated. Burial was in the Ft. Calhoun Cemetery. The Sievers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were George Rohwer, Paul Kruger, Harvey Wilson, Harold Swanson, Clarence Smith and Dale Deifenbaugh.
