SERVICES FOR ELMER DIXON WILL BE THURSDAY

Services for 61-year-old Elmer E. Dixon have been set for Thurs., June 8th at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church in Blair. Mr. Dixon died on Monday, June 5th enroute to the Blair Hospital after becoming ill at the home of his daughter and son-in-law’s home near Fort Calhoun.

Rev. Gordon Patterson will officiate at the services with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Mr. Dixon was born on June 18, 1916 to Aaron and Eunice Dixon at Blair, Nebraska. Mr. Dixon married Marguerite Rathmann and was engaged in farming. The couple live at 535 South 17th Street.

Surviving Mr. Dixon are his wife Marguerite; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Joy) Petersen of Fort Calhoun; and Mrs. Robert (Judy) McMaster of Omaha. There are six grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters and one brother. They are: James Dixon, Blair; Mrs. Ray (Eleanor) Murray, Hyattsville, Maryland; and Mrs. J. P. (Florence) Nye of Tucson, Arizona.

Mr. Dixon was active in the Blair Lions Club.

Pallbearers will be Gordon Kempcke, Phil Rolland, Gordon Vinton, Daryl Miller, Quentin Quist, and Emmett Rogert. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Allen, Richard Johnson, J. Stuart Mauer, Harold Rabbass, Peter Stricklett and Howard Thompson.
