AGED LADY PASSES AWAY

MISS ELECTA E. DODD, AGED EIGHTY-FOUR YEARS

Miss Electa E. Dodd, who had been ailing for several months and who had been confined to her bed in the Blair hospital for the past six weeks, died at that institution Saturday, May 8, 1915. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Kokjer were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Finnell on Monday afternoon and the body taken to Omaha on the 5:20 P.M. train, where it was, at the deceased’s request, cremated and the ashes interred in Forest Lawn cemetery.

Miss Dodd was born in the state of New York, October 21, 1830, but had been a resident of Washington county nearly thirty years, making her home with A. Hewett of Arlington for some time, but later resided at the home of his son, F. L. Hewett. She had no near relatives, but many warm, personal friends because of her kindly, unselfish disposition. There are many who can testify to the good deeds and loving remembrances of this christian woman.

There was a large number in attendance at the funeral, the out-of-town people being Mrs. Underwood of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. John Laaker, Mr. and Mrs. Fred DeWeber, Mrs. Dorothy, Mrs. W. S. Cook, Mrs. H. H. Gilfry, Mrs. Mel Whitford and Mrs. Rex Wilson, of Arlington.
