MARIAN S. (WARMAN) DOICIN, 41

Marian S. (Warman) Doicin died July 14, 2001 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Visitation will begin 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Marian Suzanne Warman Doicin was born July 25, 1959 at Mennonite Deaconess Hospital in Beatrice to Donald G. and Sandra (Miller) Warman.

She attended Blair schools, and graduated from Blair High School in 1976. She briefly attended Barat college in Lake Forest, Ill., but completed her education at Dana College, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in social work in 1986.

She worked in her chosen field with ENCOR in Blair, and later at the Four Winds Treatment Center of the Omaha Indian Center. She later worked in the child care field for KinderCare Learning Centers in Omaha. In response to the orphan crisis in post-Ceaucescu Romania, she volunteered to work for the Romanian Orphanage in Calarasi, Romania in 1991 through 1992. It was in Romania that she met and married Victor Doicin.

After her return from Romania, she was employed by Cubby’s convenience store at the corner of 19th and Washington Street in Blair for several years. Most recently, she was employed as a circulation/government documents assistant at the C. A. Dana-LIFE Library at Dana College.

She is survived by her daughter, Lizabeth Aurelia, and her husband, mother and father, Donald and Sandra Warman of Blair; three brothers and their significant others, Christopher and Karyn of Surry, N.H.; Winston and Mary of Omaha; and Jonathan and Gacin of New York City, N.Y. ; her beloved uncle and aunt, Bowman and Susan Miller of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and her great-great-aunt, Francis Smith of Mountain View, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the C. A. Dana-LIFE Library, Dana College, Blair, NE 68008.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
