Funeral services for Francis “Frank” Chenaille, 77, who died October 15, 1990 at Memorial Community Hospital after a lengthy illness, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, October 18, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair.

Francis Joseph Chenaille was born on March 21, 1913 at Holyoke, Massachusetts to Amable and Philomene Gerioux Chenaille. At the age of two, they moved to Pownal, Vermont were he also received his education.

On August 8, 1939 he married Irene LaTour at Bennington, Vermont. In 1946, he moved to Omaha, Nebraska and in 1956 to Herman where he resided until his death. He had been in the construction business until ill health forced him to retire.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Paul Frederick, four brothers and seven sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; four children, Agnes (Mrs. Larry) Willis, Annette (Mrs. William) Frederick, Frank Chenaille, all of Herman and Toni (Mrs. Victor) McIntosh of Blair. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Isabelle Lampman, Williamston, Massachusetts and Rita Krawczyk, Pownal, Vermont.
