Marilyn J. King, 77, of Fremont, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

Marilyn J. French was born Aug. 5, 1936, in Blair to Raymond and Mildred (Loftis) French.

She graduated from Arlington High School in 1953.

She married Wayne Brooks and he preceded her in death in 1959. She then married Robert King and he also preceded her in death in 1984.

She had lived in Fremont, Arlington and Waterloo. She was employed at the former Campbell's Soup Company in Fremont for 18 years, where she performed various duties.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Waterloo.

She is survived by sons: Bill and wife Darcie King, Tom Brooks of Fremont and Tim Brooks of Mattoon, Ill.; brother Glenn and wife Betty French of Sun City, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a charity to be determined at a later date.
